From Bocconi to Ferrari: Bringing Blockchain Ideas into the Real World
At Bocconi, faculty continuously strive to expose students to the latest developments in business systems and their implications for managerial strategy. In our course Introduction to Blockchain, taught by Francesco Grossetti and Miles Gietzmann, students learn how to design and implement blockchain systems and explore the new managerial opportunities these technologies can create.
The course culminates in student presentations proposing innovative blockchain applications that could generate value for both corporates and consumers. This year, we were particularly pleased to welcome De Munck, Dennis (Head of Employer Branding and University Partnerships at Ferrari), who attended the presentations and provided insightful feedback to our students.
Dennis, very kindly, offered an exceptional opportunity to the top-performing students: a visit to Maranello to tour the Ferrari factory, alongside a visit to the Ferrari Museum. This recognition reflects our commitment to rewarding innovation, rigor, and creativity, and to supporting our students beyond the classroom.
We gratefully acknowledge Ferrari’s proactive and collaborative engagement with our Blockchain course. This initiative was highly appreciated by our students, and given its success and the enthusiasm it generated, we are already working on expanding it for next year.
