My research deals with the interplay between the quality of accounting information and equity market valuation, covering a range of topics spanning from the analysis of shareholder value creation in domestic and cross-border M&As to valuation issues for financial reporting purposes (impairment test, purchase price allocation, fair value estimation of financial instruments and intangible assets, etc.). I have extensively analyzed the effects of corporate social responsibility (or ESG factors) on the companies’ accounting quality and market value.
